Meet Hong
Hong Choing is a Limited Partner at Stage 2 Capital Catalyst and the current Chair of the Board of Caring for Cambodia. Recently, Hong served as the VP of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances at Oracle Corporation and is now retired as of July 2024. He is a seasoned business and technology executive with 30+ years’ experience working with small and large global companies. Before Oracle, Mr. Choing spent multiple years building global partnerships while at Alibaba Cloud and Microsoft Corporation in strategy and business development leadership roles driving technology adoptions with ISV/SI and Enterprise customers. Before that, Mr. Choing held a leadership role at Merck Pharmaceutical, ProCaveo, Inc., and was the Principle and Founder of LeviTron Consulting, a professional IT services company. He loves tech and its positive impact on society. He is a co-owner of ten patents in the field of Health Information Technology.
A native of Cambodia, Mr. Choing is a survivor of the Khmer Rouge regime (1975-1979) and considers himself the lucky few who was given an opportunity to start new in the USA. Mr. Choing served as the Chair of the Board for Caring for Cambodia, former board member of Pearl S Buck International, and International Spring Festival (ISF). He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Drexel University and proud alumni of Central High School in Philadelphia, PA.
