Meet Nick
Nick worked in the nuclear power industry and nuclear weapons complex as an engineer in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia for over 40 years. Nick was part of the U. S. Response Team deployed to the Fukushima Daiichi disaster site in March of 2011 through 2012, and was on the first U. S./Japanese Team of six engineers performing a hands-on walk through of the four damaged reactors.

Nick holds a BS in biology/chemistry, and a Master’s in nuclear sciences and engineering. He has worked at a senior level with the largest engineering companies in the world, including Toshiba, Shaw Group, AECOM and Bechtel, procuring and managing multi-billion dollar projects. Using knowledge of wireless technology common for remote monitoring at nuclear facilities, Nick and his partner Steve Mahar formed Mobile Safe Zones LLC of Cape Canaveral Florida to help solve issues relative to cellphone usage. They have developed Safe Zones’ technologies that are patented in the U.S., Canada, South Africa, South Korea, and in Europe.

On a personal level he is married with four children, Brenna, Katelyn, Chad, and Grace, and has been active in charities as director of Habitat for Humanity Projects, children’s and missions charities, and as an adult and children’s bible studies teacher for over 20 years at his church. He coached baseball, softball and basketball for 21 years, and along with his wife Laura supports multiple charities for underprivileged and oppressed people. Nick loves sports, and is active in golf, tennis, fishing, basketball, and marathon running.
